Blood of Jesus Prayer and Deliverance Ministries provides food distribution services on Wednesday to members of the community.
The City of Los Angeles Community Development Department, FamilySource Centers, provide a wealth of services and programs for families with children. These community centers help families that need support with childcare, family needs, and other assistance to move them toward self-sufficiency, build flourishing communities and economic growth. Services include employment services, family life education, family support services, utility bill assistance and youth services. Services are restricted to residents of the City of Los Angeles.
BRIDGES, Inc., a mental health and social services agency, works with at-risk youth, adults, and their families, empowering them to reach their own maximum potential for independence, community integration, and quality of life. We offer programs and services focusing on each person’s strengths to develop the skills and abilities which break the cycle of institutionalization and homelessness. BRIDGES provides specialized housing, treatment, and other supportive services to persons with psychiatric and co-occurring disorders.
Burbank Temporary Aid Center offers: groceries from BTAC’s Food Pantry, daily sack lunches for the homeless, assistance with utility bills, Transportation assistance, ID/License replacement program, limited medical assistance, limited emergency shelter, via a voucher program with cooperating businesses in the area. Shower facilities for the homeless, laundry facilities for the homeless and other clients.
Access to fresh, healthy food is as integral to good health as access to insurance. Through grants from the California Association of Food Banks and LA Care Community Benefits, Maternal and Child Health Access has been able to partner with Los Angeles County Department of Social Services (DPSS) to become a CalFresh Outreach site, in Downtown LA, at our site at the Wellness Center at the Historic General Hospital and at health fairs and other community activities.
