Children's Law Center (CLC)

The Children's Law Center (CLC) provides court appointed legal representation for youth who have been abused, neglected or abandoned that come under the protection of the Los Angeles County Juvenile Dependency Court system. In addition to providing legal representation, CLC has several advocacy programs/initiatives designed to better serve our transitioning age youth. To ensure the maximum level of youth engagement, CLC established a peer advocacy program that employs former foster youth.

Alliance for Children's Rights

The Alliance’s primary objective is to provide stability to foster children and those at risk of entering foster care by helping them obtain healthcare, educational services and financial support so that more of them reach permanency through adoption, legal guardianship or by returning safely to their biological families. For those youth who do age out of the system without a family, we have built a core program designed to give this population the tools and guidance they need to live independently.
