LA Mission College Guardian Scholars

Los Angeles Mission provides Foster Youth student the opportunity for advocacy and support through the Cooperating Agencies Foster Youth Educational Support Program (CAFYES) and the Guardian Scholars program. Collaboratively, both programs mission is to empower foster youth through higher education. We are committed to provide the necessary tools and support to Foster Youth students to help them overcome obstacles and remove educational barrios in order to successfully obtain a certificate, transfer or Associate’s Degree.

Eligibility

Current or former foster youth. Between the ages of 16-24. For CAFYES you must be eligible for Extended Opportunity Program and Services (EOP&S), and  be enrolled in minimum of 9 units.
