Safe Place for Youth
To inspire change in a young person’s life, we at Safe Place for Youth engage, build trust, and provide care and support to youth experiencing homelessness, so that the youth, not their situations, define their lives. Our robust continuum of care addresses the unique needs of this population through assertive street outreach, low barrier drop-in services, health and wellness programming, case management, and education and employment services. The goal of our program is to provide critical resources and empower young people to take control of their lives, supported by trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and positive youth development strategies in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
Safe Place for Youth is also SPA 5’s Youth CES lead agency. The Coordinated Entry System for Youth (Youth CES) is a regionally coordinated, client centered system that streamlines access to developmentally appropriate housing and support services for youth and young adults, ages 16-24, experiencing homelessness and housing instability in Los Angeles County.
Youth ages 12-25 who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Homelessness can look different for each individual: it can mean sleeping on the streets/beach, in a van/car, or couch surfing. We can also provide support if you're staying at a motel, just traveling through, or feeling unsafe at home.
