Career Technical Education
PCC's many career and technical programs prepare students to seek entry-level employment and technical skills upgrading for those currently employed. The curricula are developed in coordination with advisory committees that consist of faculty, administrators, and industry experts that ensure the latest standards and technology are integrated into our programs. A career program is one whose primary goal is to prepare students for employment or an upgrade of job skills. Students interested in developing advanced levels of proficiency in a technical area may pursue a Certificate of Achievement, which requires the completion of 18 units or more. Pasadena City College currently offers more than 70 certificate programs in 37 different subject areas.
