AYE programs provide a comprehensive range of employment services for at-risk youth including: classroom training, paid internships, mentoring, workforce preparation, support services, job placement, occupational training, career planning, and work-based learning.
We realize that job preparation involves more than just completing course work. We provide theory and hands-on training, a full range of counseling services, and High School Equivalency (HSE) & high school diploma classes.
We are part of the Los Angeles Unified School District, Division of Adult and Career Education. We have two main campuses, Venice Skills Center and Emerson Campus as well as additional campuses across West Los Angeles. We offer low-cost classes in the following areas: CTE (Career Technical Eduction) courses designed for those who want to upgrade their job skills or train for a new career.
The Career Technical Education (CTE) program provides competency-based and academically integrated career training in 15 industry sectors. CTE courses prepare students for entry-level employment, career advancement, and industry certification.
FSC’s mission is to promote community wellness and individual and community self-sufficiency by providing opportunities for entire families (children, youth, and adults) to access essential social services (child care, after-school programs, health services, educational workshops, job training, family management, counseling, and intensive case management) while, at the same time, playing an intricate part in assisting other families like themselves to access these services.
