Casa Loma was designed to address the needs of single parents living in the Pico-Union community of Los Angeles. Casa Loma is a 110-unit, 55,234 squarefoot complex of affordable housing designed for very low-income single parent families and senior residents. In total, there are 4 single room occupancy units, 32 one-bedroom units, 42 two-bedroom units, 28 threebedroom units, and 4 four-bedroom units. In addition to the housing component of Casa Loma, the complex houses grades K-2 of the NEW Academy NASA Arts & Science Charter School.
Casa Youth Shelter provides emergency temporary shelter for youth aged 12-17. In addition to temporary housing, short term shelter care residents receive three nutritious meals with snacks per day, basic needs such as hot showers, clean clothing, and fresh linens for their beds, and are provided with a variety of counseling services.
Union Station Homeless Services is in Los Angeles County and leading the way to ending homelessness in our community. We are the San Gabriel Valley’s largest social service agency assisting homeless and very low-income adults and families. Since 1973, Union Station has helped rebuild the lives of thousands of people who were once homeless and without hope.They provide different housing options along with resources to help find job opportunities and housing for health.
The Coordinated Entry System for Youth (Youth CES) is a regionally coordinated, client centered system that streamlines access to developmentally appropriate housing and support services for youth and young adults, ages 16-24, experiencing homelessness and housing instability in Los Angeles County. https://www.lahsa.org/ces/youth/about
Also known as the Pantry Program, provides food to low-income families, individuals and seniors. Eligibility is not required to access this program. The Center accepts food donations from individuals and organizations. The pantry distribution operates daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and upon request in an emergency.
Centro de Vida provides food distribution every Wednesday to members of the community.
