With the right cultivation of values, critical thinking skills, and opportunities, today’s youth are empowered to be tomorrow’s leaders who bring solutions and positive change to communities need. Education budget cuts across the state have created a need for additional academic programming to help today’s youth succeed in school and beyond.
YouthSource is a city-wide program open to young people ages 16-24. All of our services are free. Some of the opportunities our centers offer include:Work Readiness - preparing you to get a job in the real world, Career Exploration - find out what kind of job you want and how to land your dream job, Job Skills Training - get the tools you need to get that first job, Tutoring and Computer Training - learn how to write a resume, how the right cover letter can land an interview, and the skills to land the job, College Preparation - is college right for you?
The Harbor YouthSource Center promotes youth achievement by working with families and community partners to create opportunities that help youth ages 16-24 reach their education, employment, and personal development goals.We are funded by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), making all of our services FREE! Services we offer include: High School Equivalency Prep; Financial Assistance; Academic Counseling & Assistance (HS & College); College Preparation; and Job Prep & Paid Internships.
The YouthSource Centers provide a comprehensive array of Employment and training services for youth ages 16-24 throughout the San Fernando Valley, primary targeting out-of-school, out-of-job, drop-out youth and in-school youth. Our main services are to ensure the young people who have barriers to employment or education to obtain the skills and education based on the Labor market economy, including the demand sector and emerging industries to be in the workforce.
