Taekwondo, a modern martial art from Korea characterized by its fast, high and spinning kicks, is offered at Eastmont for the community to participate in. Children ages 5 -18 are more than welcome to join the program at any time. Uniforms are encouraged but not required.

Homeboy Industries offers almost forty classes/groups each week, covering a wide range of topics. Our academic curriculum provides support in high school equivalency test preparation, college readiness, reading and writing. We offer a variety of free classes and support groups all day long, Monday through Friday.

We are part of the Los Angeles Unified School District, Division of Adult and Career Education. We have two main campuses, Venice Skills Center and Emerson Campus as well as additional campuses across West Los Angeles. We offer low-cost classes in the following areas: CTE (Career Technical Eduction) courses designed for those who want to upgrade their job skills or train for a new career.

Our activities are unique to each school and include homework assistance & tutoring, academic enrichment, structured fitness classes and performing & fine arts activities. EduCare goes far beyond simply providing a safe space for students after school, offering many opportunities for learning and leadership.

Alternative Education and Work Center (AEWC) is a dropout recovery program administered by the Division of Adult and Career Education (DACE) of LAUSD. AEWC students are 16-18 year old teens who have dropped out of school. AEWC provides these students with educational opportunities leading to a high school diploma or equivalency and career technical education training programs.

The FIDM Museum and Library, Inc. collects, preserves, and interprets fashion objects and support materials with outstanding design merit. It fosters student learning, public engagement, and recognition of the creative arts and entertainment industries by providing access to the collections through exhibitions, publications, and other research opportunities. Admission is free to the public.

Old Fire Station 36 is housed in one of the oldest buildings still standing in San Pedro, California. At the southern-most tip of Los Angeles, San Pedro is home to the Los Angeles Harbor, Ports ‘O Call Village, and some of the most unique seascapes in the LA area. Old Station 36 includes some remarkable LAFD apparatus, artifacts from the San Pedro area and some of the most famous fires in this part of the city, and much more. A small store offers up a variety of goodies, ranging from authentic LAFD merchandise to memorial bracelets.
