To support family economic success, the FSC provides through its referral network access to affordable housing, substance abuse and mental health counseling, legal services, immigration, emergency medical services, food distribution, clothing, car seats, and transportation.
College Corner provides college information and counseling and guidance to youth and young adults on their educational aspirations. Assistance with college and financial aid applications are also included.
This service is available through a referral process. We are able to accommodate children with Medical, and a few non-Medical recipients.
This class helps parents identify and develop new strengths, it assists parents in learning effective parenting skills and how to create opportunities for positive family bonding. Topics include: parenting styles, setting boundaries, communication and discipline methods, anger and stress management, conflict resolution, supportive relationship building and responsibility sharing.
Barrio Action enriches educational learning with activities that promote positive alternatives to their environment. Activities include basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer, tae kwon do, outdoor activities such as hiking and field trips, dance and music classes.
In partnership with EITC and VITA, we offer free tax preparation services to individuals or families that reside in the City of Los Angeles earning less than $50,000 annually.
We assist youth to succeed in school, our Center provides tutoring and homework assistance to elementary, middle, and high school students.
Chapel Services every evening at 7:00pm for men, women and children. (Doors open at 6:45pm). Evening meal for all who attend Chapel. Bed guests will get breakfast.7 night temporary shelter for homeless men (Bed assignments at 4:00 P.M.daily). Showers and clean clothes for men with beds.Showers and clean clothes for homeless men every Monday and Thursday at 8:00 A.M. Bibles/New Testaments for anyone.Reading room open Monday through Friday at 3:00pm and Saturday, Sunday and Holidays at 4:00pm. Mail service. Mail can be picked up anytime between 9am to 6:30pm.
Via Care offers complete behavioral health treatment options, provided by highly trained professionals and adapted to meet the specific needs of the individual or family. Depending on the individual, issues that may be addressed during therapy are: Adult services; Child/Adolescent behavior disorders; and Substance abuse treatment.
