The mission of CBL is to assist youth, both teenagers and young adults, with the transition from youth to adulthood. This includes encouraging youth to move from secondary to post-secondary education and on to meaningful careers and productive adult lives. For the past 15 years, the program has worked with partners in the community, including schools, religious institutions and community-based organizations, to provide youth development activities, job training and educational services to young people throughout the City of Los Angeles.

Watts Labor Community Action Committee (WLCAC)

Category

WLCAC has established a seamless, no-fail, job training, job placement, and post-employment training system for youth, adults, seniors, veterans, and dislocated workers as defined by the federal Workforce Investment Act. The Youth Services System prepares South Central and surrounding community residents for the labor force by providing job readiness, tutoring, GED assistance, post-secondary preparation, paid work experience, on-the-job-training, customized training, leadership development, case management, job advancement, and supportive services.

Vernon-Central Workforce Development Network

This program gives young people a chance to earn a high school diploma, get training from CRCD Enterprises, and earn a credential in the field of construction. Youth also learn leadership skills, and give back to the community through service projects such as neighborhood beautification. CRCD provides coaching, advocacy, support services such as bus tokens, career placement assistance, & follow-up services.We can also help you find a job, whether it’s part-time while going to school, full-time, or a summer job.

The Brotherhood Crusade Youth Source Center is a partnership with the City of Los Angeles Economic and Workforce Development Department.
