The Boyle Heights FamilySource Center is a "one-stop-shop" for families that offers free children/ youth and adult education and training programs. Children and Youth services include: One on One Academic Support Services with LAUSD PSA counselor; Weekly Afterschool Tutoring Services; Youth Leadership Program; Mentoring; College Awareness & College Trips; Recreational Programs; Case Management; and Mental Health Services.
The Children’s Collective Inc.’s youth programs assist youth and teens during the critical transition between childhood and adulthood. Services include: After School Program; Summer Youth Camp; Sports and Recreation; Basic Skills Tutorial; Nutrition Education and Obesity Training; Workforce and Financial Literacy Training; Teen Pregnancy Prevention; and Adovcacy for Youth Offenders.
College Bound is our highly successful college pathway support program available to all members, grades 4 through 12. Each student involved has access to the following: Intensive Case Management; Daily Tutoring; Weekly College Bound Classes; Weekly Writers’ Workshops; Mentoring; College Credit Classes; College Exposure and Campus Visits; Summer Workshops and Classes; Assistance Securing Resources for College; and Princeton Review Resources.
We assist youth to succeed in school, our Center provides tutoring and homework assistance to elementary, middle, and high school students.
All Peoples Community Center was established as a Family Resource Center in 1942. We provide a variety of programs to meet the needs of the residents in the surrounding community. Programs include: Education and Adult & Family.
El Nido is honored to lead the FamilySource Center efforts in Pacoima and partner in this collaborative project with some of the best organizations in the San Fernando Valley. Collectively, we have created a true neighborhood center, offering services including; counseling, parent education, employment assistance, legal aid, financial literacy, adult education, tutoring/homework assistance, recreational and cultural activities, youth leadership development, and community events.
Community Build is a non-profit community development corporation established in 1992 in response to the conditions that led to the Los Angeles Civil Unrest of 1992. Its youth outreach prioritizes comprehensive and wrap-around services for at-risk youth, out-of-school youth, foster youth, youth offenders, gang-involved youth, and first-generation college bound youth. Community Build believes that youth, young adults and their families are a tremendous resource deserving investment and enabling their active participation as contributors to the local and global economies.
El Nido provides services at schools, community locations and the home, focusing its efforts in five core program areas: Child Abuse Prevention & Treatment, Parent Education & Family Development, Teen Parent Family Services, and Youth Development.
WLCAC has established a seamless, no-fail, job training, job placement, and post-employment training system for youth, adults, seniors, veterans, and dislocated workers as defined by the federal Workforce Investment Act. The Youth Services System prepares South Central and surrounding community residents for the labor force by providing job readiness, tutoring, GED assistance, post-secondary preparation, paid work experience, on-the-job-training, customized training, leadership development, case management, job advancement, and supportive services.
The goal is to assist, support, nurture, engage, and motivate current and former foster youth in their journey to obtain an associate of arts degree, certificate, or transfer to a four-year university through various campus and community resources.
