Project Tipping Point

Project Tipping Point is a two-year, cohort-based, and intensive wraparound support program for current & former foster youth (ages 18-25) who seek an AA degree in Liberal Arts or Transportation. Program participants will enroll full-time (for free!) at LATTC while receiving support services & case management from a dedicated Navigator to help remove barriers to staying in school.

Cooperating Agencies Foster Youth Educational Support (CAFYES) Program

Cooperating Agencies Foster Youth Educational Support Program (CAFYES) is a supplemental component of the existing Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS) program at Los Angeles Southwest College. The purpose of the program is to strengthen the capacity of ELAC to support the higher education success, health and well-being of former foster youth who are enrolled.

Cooperating Agencies Foster Youth Education Support (CAFYES) Program

The Pasadena City College EOP&S program received funding to provide additional counseling and financial assistance to current and former foster youth. Students eligible to receive these additional services will benefit from extra “over and above” services exclusive only to EOP&S CAFYES students. Our Services include: EOP&S CAFYES Counselor, Financial Assistance, Tutoring Services, and Specialized Workshops.

Cooperating Agencies Foster Youth Educational Support (CAFYES) Program

EOPS/CAFYES is a new program under EOPS for current or former foster youth. The mission of CAFYES is to provide additional services and support to eligible current or former foster youth.

Guardian Scholars Program

The goal is to assist, support, nurture, engage, and motivate current and former foster youth in their journey to obtain an associate of arts degree, certificate, or transfer to a four-year university through various campus and community resources.

Financial Aid

Financial aid is made available by federal and state governments and private sources in the form of grants, scholarships, employment, and loans. This assistance makes it possible for students to continue their education beyond high school, even if they and/or their family cannot meet the full cost of the college they choose to attend.

EOP&S and Care

EOP&S program's primary goal is to encourage the enrollment, retention and transfer of students handicapped by language, social, economic and educational disadvantages, and to facilitate the successful completion of their goals and objectives in college. EOP&S offers academic and support counseling, financial aid and other support services.
