It is the mission of So Cal New Beginnings to provide the support needed in our communities in various cultures respect and tolerance, the same quality of life we all strive for. They provide living support, mental health support, medication control, counseling, drug testing, group meetings, self esteem therapy, personal grooming, and job placement.
The SHAWL Organization has two transitional housing facilities that aid women as they are transitioning from the primary 6-month program.They also provide addiction treatment, domestic violence education, job training opportunities, and connect residents to resources.
Community Corp. is a Santa Monica-based non-profit organization that restores, builds, and manages affordable housing for working families of modest means. By enhancing and increasing affordable housing, we improve neighborhoods, create an environment where people can thrive, and change thousands of lives. 1, 2 and 3-bedroom units of low income housing in Santa Monica.
Also known as the Pantry Program, provides food to low-income families, individuals and seniors in the surrounding community. Eligibility is not required to access this program. The Center accepts food donations from individuals and organizations. The pantry distribution operates every Wednesday 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. and upon request in an emergency.
Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, behave, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. We provide many different interventions to help increase positive mental health to our clients and community members. We work in partnership and collaborate with our clients to identify their positive mental health goals and develop a plan of treatment.
