Introduction to Critical Race Theory: How to Better Engage with Young People Around Race

Join us for an introduction to critical race theory (CRT) and its relevance to youth development practitioners. CRT is a framework through which we can understand the historical and present-day impacts of structural racism and explore strategies for promoting equity and justice through our work. Along with considering concepts related to CRT, participants will be asked to reflect on their own biases, privileges, and assumptions and gain skills for engaging with young people around these important issues.

Presenters: Brisia Gutierrez and David Noble
